Gray Ghost offers picnic specials year-round! A block of cheese and basket
of crackers for $6 (serves 2-3 people). Enjoy a bottle or glass of wine
and relax in the gazebo and garden or the gorgeous Mosby Lounge! We look
forward to your next visit! (Guests are always welcome to bring their own
picnic as well!)

Harvest takes place in September and October
Register now for the most popular volunteer harvest program in the Commonwealth of Virginia! Volunteer harvesters enjoy a lavish breakfast, fun-filled morning picking grapes and luncheon with all your favorite Gray Ghost wines! Each harvester receives a limited edition "Gray Ghost Official Harvester" t-shirt. There is no charge to participate. Participants must be over 21. Venison Chili Weekend

Gray Ghost's Annual Barrel Tasting
Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25, 2012
Entry to event: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, winery open until 5:00 pm
Enjoy a fun AND educational wine tasting experience! It is the ONLY weekend Gray Ghost opens barrels for wine tasting. Sample Cabernet Sauvignons, Cabernet Francs, Merlot and Chardonnay from the barrel in the underground barrel room. Taste developing wines and experience blending! This is the only opportunity to reserve futures of the intense 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon! Admission includes Gray Ghost signature logo glass and light hors d'oeuvres. No reservations necessary.
Admission: $15 per person.
Future orders may be purchased over the phone, this weekend only.
Ranger Reserve Blending Class

Join winemaker Al Kellert as he leads a class on the fine nuances of blended wines. Participants will taste each component in the Ranger Reserve blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot) and then experience the final blend. Limited seating. Advance ticket purchase required. $50 per person includes class, box lunch and glass of wine with lunch.

Gray Ghost's 18th Anniversary Wine Festival

Join Gray Ghost for a festive anniversary celebration! The weekend activities include wine tasting, winery tours, vineyard tours, live jazz music, Civil War camp, firing of a replica Civil War cannon, local vendors and a silent barrel auction. Bring a picnic or buy a barbecue lunch.

As we continue to mark the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, Gray Ghost's hosts its Civil War Authors Day. Renowned authors will be in attendance signing and selling books, as well as sharing brief vignettes in the Ranger Room. Authors and their books will be posted as confirmed.
