Gray Ghost offers picnic specials year-round!  A block of cheese and basket of crackers for $6  (serves 2-3 people) cheese, Boar's Head Sopressata, crackers for $12.  Enjoy a bottle or glass of wine and relax in the gazebo and garden or the gorgeous Mosby Lounge!  We look forward to your next visit! 
(Guests are always welcome to bring their own picnic as well!)

Register for Volunteer Harvest Program!
Registration for the 2015 harvest season begins in February and continues through the end of August.
Harvest takes place in September and October
Visit the Gray Ghost tasting room and register now for the most popular volunteer harvest program in the Commonwealth of Virginia!  Volunteer harvesters enjoy a lavish breakfast, fun-filled morning picking grapes and luncheon with all your favorite Gray Ghost wines!  Each harvester receives a limited edition "Gray Ghost Official Harvester" t-shirt.  There is no charge to participate.  Participants must be over 21.  To register for harvest you must visit the Gray Ghost tasting room (registrations are ONLY accepted in person during tasting room hours).  Questions? Gray Ghost's Vertical Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting

This candlelit, black-tie optional evening features past vintages of Gray Ghost's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignons.  The evening includes gourmet hors d'oeuvres and discussion.  Advanced ticket purchase required, limited seating.  $150 inclusive.  Tickets currently on sale: 540-937-4869
What is a "vertical" wine tasting?
A vertical wine tasting is the examination of a single wine from multiple vintages.  It gives you the opportunity to experience the same wine made in different growing seasons (and to see how growing seasons affect the wine) as well as having the opportunity to see how a particular wine evolves as it ages.
This year's vertical tasting will feature 11 vintages of Gray Ghost's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.

Gray Ghost's Annual Futures Tasting

Entry to event:  11:00 am to 4:00 pm, winery open until 5:00 pm

This fun and educational event is held in the barrel room!  Taste developing wines and experience blending!  This is the ONLY opportunity to reserve futures of the intense 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon!  $20 per person includes futures tasting, tasting of current releases, logo glass and light hors d'oeuvres.  (Futures orders may be phoned in this weekend only:  540-937-4869)

As we draw to a close the 150th commemoration of the Civil War, Gray Ghost hosts its Civil War Authors Event.  This year's spring festivities include renowned authors signing and selling books, and sharing vignettes as well as live cannon fire demonstrations by Captain Dammit.  Join us for this educational event!  Free Admission.

Join winemaker Al Kellert as he guides participants through the fine art of blending wines.  Participants will taste each component used in the Ranger Reserve blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec) and then make your own blend.  Advance ticket purchase required.  $60 includes class, box lunch and glass of wine.
